This is one of my favourite Goth shots I did. I love the it looks like I am bleeding from being cut by the sword. This was so much fun, and doing all the make up was a great experience.
I kind of like the alternate version a bit better, simply because of the background. I feel like this is missing something--again the blood variation-- but it just doesn't feel as striking. It doesn't have to be the same as the other one in feel, but it just needs more emotion I suppose. for one, I don't disagree with the lighting, but the background color does nothing for it, although it kind of is the color of old blood, it doesn't really suggest any type of emotion or anything to me---I feel like this type of shot really needs a background to draw upon.
I really really love this shot though, so I'm very happy that you have two versions! You know how I grade, so voilá!
THE make up is done perfectly,I CANNOT see if this is real blood or fake...I hope fake! And THE look in THE eyes really give me some creepy feeling, also scary,so that must be a good impact. For me it has à big impact because THE photo was taken so close, close TO what it Seams like reality! And because it is so detailed makes it possible TO take this photo so close! THE dark red background puts that special effect of THE blood,it takes immediatly THE attention when you look at THE photo! For me,that's what it takes TO look original! I was wondering what this man had in his mind, where hè was thinking of when you look at THE eyes.I already get à lot of Fantasy.Good job!
